Roger DeCoster is a former professional motocross racer from Belgium. He is often referred to as "The Man" because of his accomplishments in the sport. DeCoster is a five-time 500cc Motocross World Champion, winning the title in 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, and 1976. He also won the 250cc Motocross World Championship in 1971 and 1972.
After retiring from racing, DeCoster became a successful team manager for the Honda and Suzuki factory motocross teams. He has helped guide numerous riders to championships and is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in motocross history.
DeCoster was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2000. He continues to be involved in the sport as a brand ambassador and mentor to up-and-coming riders.
